Dubai has four major observation decks in 2026 — Burj Khalifa, Ain Dubai, Dubai Frame, and Sky Views Observatory — and the two most underrated are the cheapest. Dubai Frame (AED 50) sits 150 metres up and uniquely frames both old and new Dubai simultaneously through its glass walls. Sky Views Observatory (AED 120) is on the 52nd floor of the Address Sky View hotel with a glass-floor deck, a glass slide between the twin towers, and an 'Edge Walk' experience on the outside of the building. Dubai Frame: Old Dubai Meets New
Dubai Frame is a 150-metre picture frame structure in Zabeel Park that frames — literally — old Dubai on one side and new Dubai on the other. Standing on the glass-floored sky bridge 150 metres up, you look south towards the historic Deira and Bur Dubai districts (mosques, the Creek, low-rise heritage neighbourhoods) and north towards the modern Downtown skyline (Burj Khalifa, Business Bay towers, DIFC). No other observation point in Dubai gives you this split perspective simultaneously.
At AED 50, Dubai Frame is the best-value paid observation experience in the city by a significant margin. The experience is straightforward — a lift to the top, a 10-minute walk across the sky bridge, a descent. No multimedia shows, no gimmicks. What you do get is a genuinely unique architectural and visual experience that most visitors who skip it later regret.
Sky Views Observatory: The Thrills & The Glass Slide
Sky Views Observatory is built into the Address Sky View hotel in Downtown Dubai — two interconnected towers linked at the 52nd floor (219 metres) by a glass-floored sky bridge. The observatory itself (AED 120) gives you a view over Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa from a different angle than most visitors get. The glass floor viewing area is well executed and much less crowded than the Burj Khalifa decks.
The Glass Slide (AED 65 add-on) is Dubai's only outdoor building-to-building slide — you slide down a glass tube from one tower to the other across the void 219 metres up. It's 35 metres long and takes about 7 seconds; more of a bucket-list moment than a sustained thrill. The Edge Walk (from AED 225) is a guided walk around the outside of the building on a 1.2-metre walkway — the most unique offering and a genuine adrenaline experience.
Which Should You Visit?
If you're on a budget or only have 30–45 minutes to spare, Dubai Frame at AED 50 is the obvious choice — it's genuinely brilliant for the price and the bilateral view of old and new Dubai is unavailable anywhere else. If you've already done Dubai Frame (or the Burj Khalifa), Sky Views offers something different: the glass slide, the edge walk, and a Downtown-facing perspective.
For a complete Dubai observation experience, we recommend doing them in this order: Dubai Frame first (budget-friendly, unique concept), then Burj Khalifa At the Top (iconic), then Sky Views Observatory for the thrills. Ain Dubai sits outside this category as a coastal rather than urban observation. All four together represent the full vertical experience of Dubai.
