Dubai Safari Park is divided into four themed villages: African Village (lions, giraffes, zebras, white rhinos, ostriches), Asian Village (Asian elephants, Bengal tigers, Komodo dragons, orangutans), Arabian Desert Village (Arabian oryx, sand gazelles, local desert species), and Explorer Village (a children's zoo with petting areas and play spaces). The open-air safari bus tour — included with every ticket — drives through the African and Asian zones with a knowledgeable guide, getting you within metres of free-roaming large mammals.
Walking paths connect the villages and allow you to explore at your own pace between bus tours. The park has multiple restaurants and food courts, and shade structures along the main routes. Arrive early (park opens at 9:30 AM) to catch animals at their most active before midday heat sets in. Most visitors spend 3 to 4 hours; families often stay for a full day. Note the park is closed on Mondays — plan accordingly.
Getting to Dubai Safari Park
Dubai Safari Park is located in Al Warqa, approximately 20 km east of Downtown Dubai. Taxi from Mirdif City Centre takes around 15 minutes and costs AED 40–60 from central Dubai. There is large free car parking on-site for drivers. No Metro station serves the park directly, so taxi or private car is the practical choice for most visitors.

The park is in Al Warqa and is easiest to reach by taxi, ride-hailing or car. It is not a practical Metro walk; check current parking, entrance and any park shuttle or internal transport instructions before travelling.

The park combines outdoor paths, heat exposure, walking and vehicle or shuttle boarding. Families should plan breaks and ask guest services about step-free routes, wheelchair or pushchair access and the most suitable transport option.
