Peak Season: October to April
October through April is universally considered the best time to visit Dubai. Temperatures range from 18°C to 30°C, making every attraction — indoor and outdoor — fully enjoyable. This is when the Dubai Fountain shows are at their busiest (every 30 minutes from 6pm), Global Village runs its full season (90+ countries, nightly shows), and the Desert Safari experience is at its most comfortable.
The trade-off: hotel prices are at their highest, flight costs are elevated, and popular attractions like the Museum of the Future and Burj Khalifa fill up quickly. Book attraction tickets at least a week in advance during December–January (peak of peak season). The Dubai Shopping Festival runs January to February and adds further shopping and entertainment value to a trip during those weeks.
Summer Season: May to September
Summer in Dubai is genuinely hot — 38–45°C in July and August, with humidity on the coast. However, summer is also when Dubai becomes dramatically cheaper and quieter. Hotel rates drop 40–60%, airline tickets are lower, and queue times at all attractions shrink significantly.
All of Dubai's indoor attractions are fully air-conditioned and actually more enjoyable in summer: Ski Dubai, the Museum of the Future, Dubai Aquarium, IMG Worlds of Adventure, and Legoland are all superb year-round. The Dubai Summer Surprises festival (June–August) adds promotions across malls. Summer evenings (after 7pm) are more tolerable for outdoor activities, and rooftop dining and evening desert safaris are still popular.

Ramadan timing shifts annually (check before booking). During Ramadan, restaurant hours change, alcohol service is restricted before sunset, and some entertainment venues reduce hours — the city is quieter but culturally fascinating. Post-Ramadan Eid celebrations (usually 3 days) see large local gatherings at parks and attractions.
Dubai Expo season (the city saw a massive infrastructure boom post-Expo 2020/2021) has left a lasting legacy of venues and transport links. New Year's Eve on the Burj Khalifa fireworks is one of the world's most watched events — book hotels and restaurant tables months in advance if visiting in late December.
