La Perle by Dragone is the only permanent resident live show in Dubai — and possibly the most technically ambitious theatrical production in the Middle East. Created by Franco Dragone (the director behind Celine Dion's Las Vegas residency and several Cirque du Soleil shows), La Perle runs 75 minutes inside a purpose-built 1,300-seat aqua theatre at Al Habtoor City. The Show: What You'll Actually See
La Perle is a 75-minute continuous production with no interval, performed inside a purpose-built aqua theatre where the stage can transform between land and water. The show tells an abstract story of Dubai — pearl diving, desert discovery, and modern ambition — through acrobatics, aerial performances, high-diving, and motorbike stunts.
The production's standout moments include performers diving from 20 metres into a 2.7-million-litre water stage (which fills and drains multiple times during the show), a 6-motorcycle stunt sequence performed on a vertical wall above the water, and aerial silks performers creating formations that suspend them directly above the audience. There are 65 performers in total, and the show runs with near-zero downtime between sequences.
Which Seats to Choose
The theatre is divided into three zones: Aqua (closest to the stage, front 10 rows), Silver (mid-theatre), and Gold (elevated rear section). Aqua seats at AED 375–575 give you the most visceral experience — you can see the performers' expressions and the water splashing close up, but you may get slightly splashed during the water sequences. Silver seats (AED 280–350) are the best overall value — good view of the full stage, all aerial elements fully visible, and no splash risk.
Avoid the extreme side seats in all categories — the stage is wide and some angles are partially obscured. Centre seats in Silver rows 5–10 are widely considered the sweet spot. Book directly through La Perle's website for the best seat map and avoid third-party markups.
Getting There & Practical Information
Al Habtoor City is on Sheikh Zayed Road between Downtown Dubai and Jumeirah. By metro, take the Red Line to Business Bay or Dubai World Trade Centre stations, then a 10-minute taxi. Ample paid parking is available at Al Habtoor City for drivers. Doors open 45 minutes before showtime; arriving early allows you to explore the waterfront promenade and Al Habtoor City restaurants.
La Perle has a strict no-photography policy during the performance (a standard clause for licensed theatrical productions). The theatre is fully air-conditioned. The show runs Tuesday through Sunday with Monday as a typical dark night — confirm the schedule before booking as special events occasionally affect the calendar. Advance booking of at least 2–3 weeks is recommended for Friday and Saturday shows.
